Year Three 2018 - 2019

Ms Lomax

Hello again! Here we are with another update :O)

I'm sure, like me, you're seeing a real change in the children as we enter the spring term. They are becoming more and more independent and confident now that they are used to being Key Stage 2 pupils.

We loved finding our all about magnets, last term, and are now looking forward to learning about how our bodies work, in our new science topic of Health and Movement. We already have some creepy xrays on our classroom wall, (including one of a broken arm :O/)

Because of all the Christmas events, we are running a little bit behind with our Rainforest topic, so we still have a couple of weeks more studying to do. The Rainforest will be the theme of our class assembly on the 25th January. You are all welcome to come.

Our swimming lessons carry on for a few more weeks yet, so we mustn't forget our kits on Mondays.

A note directly from Miss Lomax; please, please, please, listen to your child read each evening. Even just a page or two's regular practise really does make the difference in their reading progress. To help encourage the children in this, I am offering Silver Star awards for children who read to you, and get their reading records signed, five times each week.

We hope you have enjoyed our page. Please keep a look out for our next updates.

Year 3 :O)
