If you go down to the woods today...

The nursery pom-pom jar is FULL!  Time for a treat...

Lots of lovely growing up behaviours have helped with filling our class pom-pom jar, the way that nursery are able to resolve small conflicts through reasoning and discussion and share resources with each other is a really difficult skill, especially within a large group of children - I am extra proud of them!

We are looking at the Little Red Hen this week as part of our Farm mini topic, we have already acted out the story and we will begin to look at the characters and their traits in more detail this week. On Thursday we will be baking bread from scratch - just like the Little Red Hen. This leads us nicely into thinking about flavours, tasting, creating sandwiches and adding fillings.

We have decided to have a 'Teddy Bear's Picnic' as their treat for filling the class jar.

Children may each bring a teddy bear to school on Thursday 11th May for our 'Teddy Bear's Picnic'! We will be making fruit salad and having juice with our sandwiches.

Look out for the pictures on our Nursery blog!
