Our first whole class blog!

We started the week with some really interesting Science learning. We have found out about how plants reproduce and have even used some new vocabulary - Fertilisation, Stigma, Pollination, Stamen, Anther, Stlye, Photosynthesis, Carpel, Ovary, Filament. Maybe you can ask your child all about the meaning of these new words 

In RE we completed a story board all about St Paul's life. We found this really interesting!

We have used the interent to research all about Manchester City Centre and have started to create our Big Book all about Cities! This is up in our classroom for you to have a look through.

We have thoroughly enjoyed taking a look at our new class text in English. The book is called 'The Flower' by John Light. We have looked at Synonyms and have used a Thesaurus.

In Maths we have started to look at charts and graphs and have recorded data in pictograms. 

The girls in Year 3 have also taken part in a football session with a coach from Manchester United! Don't worry boys, you will be having sessions with Manchester United after half term! 

Wow! What a week!
