Historical Background
North Walkden Primary School is a small, caring community school which takes children from a wide and varied catchment area. We are not a faith school, but we do have close links with St. John the Baptist C. of E. Church.
Our school building dates from 1926 and is built around a quadrangle. This quadrangle has been developed to provide the EYFS with a super high quality outdoor learning environment.
There are three corridors along the sides of the quadrangle which house the classrooms and the fourth side is made up of the school hall.
The school is well equipped with ICT equipment which is used by all classes.
Outside we have two playgrounds, a quiet garden, an enclosed grass area and a large field.
